Starting in the Fall of 2019, the Center for Digital Ethics and Policy at the School of Communication at Loyola University Chicago will present an annual Digital Ethics Award. The award will go to a person or group who has displayed ethical behavior that has contributed to the promotion of social justice in digital communities.

The award that comes with a $1000 cash prize will be will be presented to the laureate during the Center’s annual symposium in the Fall of 2019.

The  selection committee will aim to recognize groups and individuals who have displayed ethical behavior and personal and professional integrity in digital communities, especially if their efforts have largely gone unnoticed.

Do you know anyone whose efforts have increased privacy protections, reduced hate, exposed and corrected injustices online, or otherwise contributed to a more ethical digital environment? Let us now!  Are you aware of any groups or organizations who have used or developed digital technologies that have increased the quality of life of others?  Please nominate them now!
